Whirling Wind

I sit in the dark........

I hear the wind blowing......

It hugs my house....... I know it is hoping
To find a slit through which it can ooze and sing
To me
Its Anthem of Truths

Oh! Woo me whirling wind of the ages!

Persuade me with the wisdom of sages!

And I will fly with you through the night
Through the sky......
....Till the world
.....Is washed
.....With Light

  1. You're a very good poet Susie! That made me smile and that's been hard to accomplish as of late. Thank you.

  2. Thanks, Jenni. I wrote this particular poem about 20 years ago. My, how time flies. It seems like only yesterday. I was never happy with the final line though. When I was preparing this poem for my blog, I ended up changing the final line and now I feel the poem is complete and says what I had in mind.

I have always loved the sound and action of the wind. Even though it can be destructive at times, its power is somehow beautiful to me.

I hope that very soon you will be able to smile with little provocation.
