Christmas Eve

We were twenty-five in number on Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's home. The children scoped out the presents under the tree as soon as they arrived. It was no time until they were asking when we were going to open the presents. Forget about dinner, forget about all those games Nana thought up to entertain them. What was important were the presents. But I made them wait till after dinner. Call me Scrooge.

We were twenty-five in number and each person had a stocking hanging from the staircase in the foyer. Children can be seen scoping out the stockings too.

Dessert became the Grand Finale to the event. But I remember seeing young hands snatching a cookie or two before it was time.

Dad helps Miquel with his talking cowboy from Toy Story.

Benjie had a runny nose that day. He seems a little bewildered by everything.

Ricky showing his enthusiasm for his gift.

Maggie and her cousins struggling to get into a packaged toy.

Jakob reading the letter I wrote to him.

Jackie opening her present

Rachel opening her present.

Jessie hugging her Fancy Nancy doggie with Justin and Zach in the background.
Erik with his present
Josh all smiles and pleased with his Legos
Nikolas perhaps a little disappointed in his present. It is hard to please them all.
Justin and Zach.
Chris and her family.
Chris and her boyfriend Bob
Tali, Christian, and Ricky
Sweet little Ellie May ready to wrap things up and call it a night.
